Wood Block Making : by Ghanshyam Gajjar

The village of Pethapur in Gandhinagar is known for its wood block makers. The makers carve intricate designs on teak wood using their skill. These blocks are then sent to block printing centres, that use them to print designs on fabric. Come to the workshop and create a block from your idea, and learn the craft of wood block carving from a practicing artisan.
