The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play that celebrates the feminine. It tells the stories of the relationships women have with their vaginas. United by a common theme, the monologues shine a spotlight on experiences ranging from inconspicuous to life-altering. These everyday stories illuminate society's attitudes, ignorance and treatment of women everywhere, even today. Written by Eve Ensler in 1996, the monologues performed are based on interviews from over 200 women. At times funny, at times heartbreaking, the play aims to bring a conventionally taboo topic to the spotlight, and all that it represents.
The play is performed yearly as part of the V-Day campaign - a movement dedicated to ending violence against women. This year, Quiver Productions is collaborating with Vidyaranya.

Vidyaranya was established in the year 1991, with the single minded aim of aiding different sections of society. It's a secular, non-profit and non-political development organization that, since it's inception, has worked with the marginalized sections of the society towards their empowerment, and to enable them to enhance their own potential since its inception.

Vidyaranya has been working with senior citizens, women, and children and the differentl abled. We reach out to more than 1000 beneficiaries each day by providing them with food, shelter, medical care and psychological assistance. In addition to this we provide them with access to education and various skill based training. 
100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Vidyaranya.
