Inadequate sanitation is more than just inconvenient – it claims lives, dignity and productivity, severely affecting women and girls.
Join us to talk to women from Bhayala village (Bavla District,Gujarat), who have taken private loans to build a toilet for themselves and their girls. Hence, giving prime importance to personal dignity, social and emotional security; these women have succeeded in becoming a catalyst for change and role models for other women.
11am: Introduction by Sanjay Joshi from ShantiLife on the current sanitation scenario in India.
11:30am - 1pm: Open forum discussion with women from Bhayala who have built their own toilets.
