Today there is a growing rate of both obesity and eating disorders. Women are simultaneously starving and overfeeding themselves, and it goes beyond food.
We are starved for a more meaningful life and a successful career, and overfed by media messages telling us how we should look. As a result, we are using food to punish or self-medicate. It is no surprise that, as a gender, our relationship with food has become damaged.
Join us for a potluck with good food, soulful poetry performances and a healthy dose of thought.
