Paco Renteria is the “Mariachi” - the man behind the iconic music from the films Desperado and Legend of Zorro.

The virtuoso, progressive, flamenco guitar player Paco Renteria began playing at the age of seven. By the time he was 22, Renteria was performing with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Guadalajara. Since then, he has composed over 300 pieces, and performed with the likes of Carlos Santana and Luciano Pavarotti.

CALCUTTA INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL GUITAR FESTIVAL 

Paco Renteria will be performing as part of the 8th edition of the Calcutta International Classical Guitar Festival held from 15-17 December 2017 at the ICCR, Kolkata. This edition of the festival is titled ¡¡ Guitarra Latina !! and will be celebrating Latin America. Guitar music from Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay and music from the region will be in focus for this festival.
