"At last they entered a world within a world - a valley of leagues where the high hills were fashioned of the mere rubble and refuse from off the knees of the mountains... surely the Gods live here” - Rudyard Kipling

Yet another one of it's kind road trip through the remote valleys of Kinnaur, Spiti and Lahaul is on our travel plans this July.

Majestic mountains, green valleys, meandering rivers, views of the Kinner Kailash, orchards and vineyards define the valley of Kinnaur while Spiti is a stark cold mountain desert, like Ladakh, hence it is often dubbed as Ladakh's lesser known cousin. The people and the lifestyle change distinctly as the landscape.

From the lush mountains of Kinnaur valley to the rugged moonscape of Lahaul & Spiti valley dotted with monasteries and temples, a place where Buddhism prevails alongside Hinduism. From the last village on the Indo-China border to the mummified lama of Geu to the fossils at Komic to the local brew, the Trans Himalayas are nothing less.

Top 5 Experiences:
1. A treacherous and glorious journey that allows you to retrace history through the peripheral trade circuits of the legendary Silk Route, the Hindustan-Tibet road partially along with NH-22. We bet this drive will be etched in your memory forever!

2. Spiti is a land of another highs! The region's claim to fame is the presence of the highest motorable village in the world - Kibber, highest village in Asia - Komic and the highest post office in the world at Hikkim. Feel the high!

3. As we visit the oldest and ancient monasteries in Spiti, the dimly lit room of the 1000 year old monastery and the mystical ancient treasures will fill you with awe. Learn about the history of the monasteries and stories depicted on Thangka murals as we interact with the monks.

4. Watch the Bhuchen performance, a rare tantric performance to get rid of evil spirits, by the vestiges of Tibetan sect of Bhuchen lamas that originated in Tibet and is now only found in Pin Valley, Spiti. The lamas will traverse from Pin Valley, just for you, and enthrall you with their storytelling and theatric performance.

5. A hike through the lush mountain meadows will award us with the view of the mystical crescent shaped Chandratal lake also called the Moon Lake. End your journey by camping under the stars & indulge in night time photography capturing the Galactic bodies.
