Intro..

Bonta was a well kept secret in the running community till Bonta runners started the Bonta Trail a Thon in 2016. Bonta offers one of the best trails in Delhi to run. Last two events have left many people mesmerized about existence of such a forest in Delhi. Join in to discover and run at the best trail of Delhi. The Forest is in close proximity to North Campus of University of Delhi.

Date and Time:
11th February 2018, Meet/greet/warm-up: 6: 30 AM

Start Times:
20 KM: 7 :00 AM
10 KM: 7: 15 AM
5 KM: 7:30 AM

Venue: Bonta ridge. The parking is at the main fruit gate located on the road connecting St.Stephens College and Tis Hazari court. Another parking is entry gate is in-front of the University of Delhi, VC Office.
The start point is the monument located at the centre of bonta. it is about 8-10 minutes walk from the parking/entry gate. Please reach at least 30 minutes before your start time.

Lap/route:
Start and finish is at the monument located at the centre of Bonta.
1 loop is 5 KM (approx.) and you do multiple loops as per your category. The trail is rocky and uneven, try not to tumble and not to twist your ankle.
You will be running in the forest and will cross the roads in between, all these roads lead to the monument where the Emergency/first aid centre, is located.

GPS: Please switch on your GPS well before your start time it takes a while before the device gets GPS signal to start. The GPS signals are weak in parts. We tried different apps and devices for loops. The average is about 5KM.

Peacocks, Rabbits, Monkeys: They are not a menace in Bonta. It is their Natural habitat and they do not disturb runners/walkers.

Safety and first Aid
Dr. Aseem Taneja has agreed to be the official doctor. He will be present at Bonta for any emergency/injuries etc. during the 2nd BONTA TRAIL-A-THON. Dr Aseem Taneja is a Orthopaedic Surgeon, working as Orthopaedic Medical Officer with Govt. Of NCT Delhi and specialises in traumatology. He was a part of the official Orthopaedic Surgeons team at Common Wealth Games 2010 held in New Delhi. Dr Aseem is an avid cyclist and has completed 10,000 KM of cycling in last 12 months. With his experience, we are sure everyone will have a safe run.

Runners’ Etiquette
Since we will be in a fragile environment, there would be ZERO TOLERANCE FOR LITTERING in the trails. Dustbins would be placed few meters ahead of every water station.
Let’s leave Bonta cleaner post run.
Since this is not a competitive event, we expect you to BE CONSIDERATE towards your fellow runners. Please help fellow runners in case of an emergency.
