Synopsis: This play is a situational comedy about a quintessential Bengali father from Kolkata who is visiting his daughter settled in the US. It’s been six weeks since he has been in the United States, and he is counting his days of return back to Kolkata and his home. In spite of her very busy life, the daughter tries every possible way to make her father feel at home. But the father is getting restless as he ardently misses his association with Kolkata—his own house, the people, the hullabaloo, the lifestyle he is more accustomed to and is comfortable with. What he misses most is his ability to do things or go places independently. Is he a well-treated first class prisoner in his daughter’s house? Is he stuck in this unknown country? With elements of dramatic realism and real-life connection, this is a play the audience will laugh and cry with.
