Consumers are statistics. Customers are people– Stanley Marcus, Chairman, Retail chain, Neiman Marcus.

“Get closer than ever to your customers. Tell them what they need well before they realize it themselves.”–Steve Jobs, Founder and Chairman, Apple Inc.

Management literature (Said Business School, Oxford 2014) and organizations are using personality typing tools to address business challenges. The book ‘Bosses of the wild’ (McGraw Hill 2013, Foreword by K V Kamath, Chairman ICICI Bank) likens personality types to 10 animals, providing a framework with an easy recall value given the association with fascinating animal behaviour research. The book offers tools to recognize the personality types of your customers and teams, understand their motivations and leverage this knowledge to deliver business outcome.

The half-day workshop uses a mix of theory gleaned from Oxford scholars and practical group exercises to demonstrate how participants can use techniques like covert observation, visual cues and reframing questions to identify a customer’s key motivations. It offers strategic behaviour techniques to satisfy specific stated/ unstated customer needs and control the sales process.
